One of my besties came to visit at the beginning of fall - now that it finally feels like fall I guess I can share our photos. We both have a flower love/obsession so we both made a centerpiece and dainty arrangement sample. The sunset color palette really pops and reminds me of some of the colors we get to experience right now in East Tenn.

My sweet grandmother on Mothers Day. We call her MamaCook and she favors pink. So her arrangement with pink peonies, roses and tulips was the perfect gift. I feel very fortunate to have grown up with some many positive female role models around. Four aunts, two grandmothers and one very special mom. Happy Mother's Day to all my motherly figures and especially my mom.
#peonyforpresident | What a great hashtag I have seen circulating Instagram! It's a wonderful time of Spring right now, and that is Peony season!
These blooms are very popular, and for good reason! They are usually seen slightly bloomed and in the early stage rather than fully bloomed, like most of my pictures below. If I were using these for an arrangement or bouquet I would want to cut earlier to allow the peony time to "age" gracefully. Below are some of the varieties I have found around Old North Knoxville. I shared the website where I researched the varieties at the end of this post. There are so many types with colors ranging from deep burgundy to white and all sorts of different petals and bud shapes. Check. It. Out.
I'm fortunate to have two peony bushes in full bloom right now. We are currently on the second round of gorgeous, heavenly scented blooms.
